University of Oregon designs on exhibit at IKEA in Portland
IKEA, the world's leading home furnishings retailer, is hosting a gallery showing titled "Inspired by IKEA" featuring the work of University of Oregon School of Architecture and Allied Arts students. Class projects will be shown from the "Remix IKEA" course offered by the UO Interior Architecture Program earlier this year.
IKEA Portland is busy creating a sleek gallery space for nine class projects inside the store. The gallery will display each student piece along-side the IKEA product that inspired it. Visitors to the store will be able to view the pieces and get a glimpse into the creative process of the students.
Location: IKEA Portland 10280 NE Cascades Parkway, Portland, Oregon
Show Dates: Saturday, November 8 – Sunday, November 16
Gallery Hours: 1-5pm Saturday and Sunday, 3-7pm Monday-Friday
Price: FREE!
